The Art of Custom Soapmaking
One of the things I love most about making soap is the creativity it allows—and nothing captures that better than our custom order process.
When someone requests a custom soap, it’s not just a transaction—it’s a collaboration. It starts with a conversation. I ask about your skin needs, your scent preferences, and if there are any ingredients you love (or need to avoid). Whether you’re looking for something calming, invigorating, allergy-friendly, or just uniquely “you,” I want to get it right.
From there, I build a formula tailored to your request. That includes choosing the right blend of oils and butters—maybe soothing olive oil, nourishing shea butter, or moisturizing coconut oil. Then we move on to essential oils or fragrance, natural colorants, and any add-ins like oatmeal, clay, or dried herbs. Every detail is intentional.
Once the batch is made, it enters its most important phase: the cure. Cold process soap requires 5 full weeks to cure properly. During this time, the water content evaporates, the bar hardens, and the chemistry finalizes. This patience pays off—resulting in a long-lasting, skin-loving bar that’s ready for use.
Custom orders take time, care, and craftsmanship. They’re made with the same purpose that started all of this: to give people something better than what they find on store shelves. Something real. Something personal.
When you place a custom order, you're not just buying soap—you're joining me in the process of creating something meaningful, from scratch, just for you.
